WARRANTY GUIDELINES
Asama Enterprises Corporation (hereinafter called Asama) warrants the replacement or repair of any original part due to defect in material and/or workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase. Such purchase must be documented by original owner by original sales receipt or other proof of purchase. This warranty will continue in full force and effect following the date of purchase for the first year of original ownership. At the sole discretion of Asama, we will replace or repair without charge, any original part that is determined by us to be defective under the Terms and Conditions of this warranty. The use of parts inconsistent with the use originally intended for the bicycles sold, or assembly and/or maintenance by any other than an authorized Asama Dealer, and transportation and Dealer labour charges are not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not apply when the bicycle is used in any competitive events and/or used for training for competitive events. Failure due to, but not limited to accident, abuse, commercial use, improper assembly, improper fit, normal wear, rental use, stunt riding are not covered by this warranty. No other guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied made by Asama of this bicycle. Due to properties inherent in many paint pigments when exposed to ultra violet light, colour fading and/or paint chipping will not be covered in this warranty. The exclusive liability of Asama and/or its agents, affiliates or authorized dealers pursuant to this warranty shall be for the replacement or repair of the defective part, and incidental, consequential damages are excluded hereunder. In no event shall Asama and/or its agents, affiliates or authorized dealers be liable to the purchasers of its bicycle, or to third parties for any incidental, consequential or personal injury, due to its use.

BIKE WARRANTY
Non-suspension frame: Asama warrants each new Asama non-suspension bicycle frame against defect in workmanship and materials for the period of 5 years to the original owner. If, upon Asama’s examination, it is determined that replacement is justified, the consumer agrees to accept another frame of the equivalent model. Labour charges for parts changeovers and replacement of any parts non-compatible from original frame are not covered in the warranty and are borne to the consumer. The front fork is not considered part of the frame and I therefore covered under the terms in the preceding section. Purchase must be documented by the original owner by original sales receipt or other proof of purchase for warranty to be valid. Any defective parts or fork on the bicycle is warrantied for one year from date of purchase.

Suspension frame: Asama warrants each new Asama suspension bicycle frame against defect in workmanship and materials for the period of 3 years to the original owner. The rear shock is warranted for a period of two years against defect to the original owner. This warranty does not cover wear and tear on pivots, shafts, bushings, or bearings on the frame. These parts will only be covered in the case that specific manufacturer’s defect can be shown. If, upon Asama’s examination, it is determined that replacement is justified, the consumer agrees to accept another frame of the equivalent model. Labour changes for parts changeovers and replacement of any parts non-compatible from the original frame are not covered in the warranty and are bourne to the consumer. The front fork is not considered part of the frame, and is therefore covered under the terms in the preceding section. Purchase must be documented by original owner by original sales receipt or other proof of purchase for warranty to be valid. Any defective parts or fork on the bicycle is warrantied for one year from the date of purchase.

FRAME WARRANTY
There is a 3 year warranty on all our frames(frames sold separate from bikes). Proof of purchase by original owner by original sales receipt is required for all frame warranties. At the sold discretion of Asama, we will replace or repair without charge, the frame that is deemed defective under the Terms and Conditions of this warranty. This warranty will be void if the frame is used in any competitive events, and/or used for training for competitive events. Failure due to, but not limited to accident, abuse, commercial use, improper assembly or parts non compatible, improper fit, normal wear, rental use, or stunt riding are not covered by this warranty.

These are the maximum fork travel for the following frames:

Matrix II – 6” maximum
El Diable II – 5” maximum
Cascade – 4” maximum
Chilcoltin – 4” maximum
Extreme I – 3” maximum
Extreme II – 4” maximum
If suspension fork used with the above frames exceed the maximum travel, warranty will be null and void.

Asama will also be implementing a replacement fee for the following frames:
$100.00 – El Diablo frame
$50.00 – All Kuwahara aluminum frames
$50.00 – Matrix II frame

PARTS WARRANTY
There is one year warranty on all after market parts. Please see Page 8 in the Asama Parts and Accessories Catalogue under Merchandise Return Policy.

Shimano Parts - All returns must be accompanied bye the customer’s invoiced copy. There is one year warranty from date of purchase for parts.
